Just Windows and Doors Case Study

Untitled

Just Windows and Doors are a long-established double glazing firm based in Rickmansworth and Ickenham that has been operating and growing steadily for over 30 years.

Operating in the highly competitive home improvements sector, Just Windows and Doors had concerns that their competitors were getting a larger share of web traffic and they wanted to tackle the issue head on. To do this they decided to focus on and invest in their marketing strategy.

In June 2013, they began working with Wagada on their SEO, to increase website traffic.  And this was the beginning of a long-term relationship that has seen Wagada providing real value and strong results for Just Windows & Doors, across a range of marketing services.

The Challenge

The double glazing business has a handful of long established, very large players who dominate market share. Where price is highly competitive, a smaller, locally-based company such as Just Windows and Doors must rely on business generated through recommendation, strong client testimonials and examples of work.

They wanted to be known as the number one provider of double glazing in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex. To achieve this, Wagada needed to improve lead generation, search engine rankings, develop the brand, raise brand awareness, review its current messaging and build a marketing plan.

Following strategic insights from Wagada, the remit evolved into a broader marketing requirement, encompassing Pay Per Click, branding, content strategy, consumer communications and PR to raise the profile of Just Windows and Doors, with a view to increasing sales.

The Solution

Wagada conducted a full competitor website audit, identifying strong design and user experience elements. This was complemented with a full marketing communications audit. Key areas for development were:

  • Overhaul website content to include new compelling content with a warm tone of voice
  • Create and manage a new blog
  • Optimise all content with keywords (identified from thorough keyword research) to improve search rankings
  • Outreach activity to gain authoritative links
  • Improve web layout and navigation to improve user experience
  • Re-vamp off-line consumer communications (printed newsletter, leaflets, flyers and brochures)
  • Increase communications outlets with set up of Twitter and Facebook

Wagada recommended messaging focus on customer care (a very personal offering) and long-established service, supported by testimonials and case studies.

In addition to this, emphasis would be placed on a long list of accreditations which supports excellent and trust-worthy trading standards.
